Privacy Policy

Chinese Zodiac Horoscope 2026 Last updated: 7 September 2026

This Privacy Policy applies to the Chinese Zodiac Horoscope 2026 mobile application (the "Application"), provided by Lanchas Dev (the "Service Provider") as a free, ad-supported service. Contact: lanchasdev@gmail.com

The Application has no accounts, no login and no registration. It never asks for a postal address, a phone number, a payment method or any government identifier.

1. Information collection and use

To calculate your horoscope the Application asks for your date of birth and, optionally, a name. Together with your progress, points, level, virtual pet, missions and preferences, that information is stored only in your device's local storage. It is never transmitted to the Service Provider, and there is no server holding it.

Separately, the Application relies on four third-party services:

2. Usage analytics

To know which screens are used and which ones need fixing, the Application records how it is navigated. This measurement is anonymous by design and has no identified level: there is no setting that turns it into something that identifies you, because nothing here does.

What is recorded: application opened, screen viewed and how long it lasted, session ended, zodiac result viewed, daily oracle viewed and shared, compatibility started and completed, lesson completed, pet actions and rewards, in-app shop purchases made with the game's own coins, onboarding steps, language changed, notifications turned on or off, review prompt shown, and the lifecycle of each advertisement — requested, loaded, shown, clicked, skipped or failed.

Each of these events carries technical context only: the app version, the platform, the operating system and its version, the device model and type, the language and region, the time zone, your zodiac sign, and a marker saying whether the event came from a released build or from our own internal testing.

This data is used in aggregate, to count and compare. It is not used to personalise advertising and it is not shared with advertisers.

3. Advertising identifiers

The Application shows advertisements through Google AdMob. AdMob uses the Google Advertising ID of your device, together with your IP address and your interactions with the ads, to deliver advertising and measure how it performs. AdMob may derive an approximate location from that IP address.

Where consent is required, this identifier is used for personalised advertising only if you have agreed to it — see section 4. You can reset the identifier, or opt out of ad personalisation altogether, at any time from your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads on Android).

4. Consent

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, a consent form is presented before the first advertisement. It is provided by Google's User Messaging Platform, a certified consent management platform, and there you choose whether to allow personalised advertising.

You can review or withdraw that choice at any time from Settings → "Ad privacy" inside the Application. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

Consent applies to advertising only. The anonymous statistics in section 2 do not depend on it and do not change with it: refusing advertising consent does not switch them off, and granting it does not make them identify you.

Where consent is not legally required, advertising may be personalised in accordance with Google's policies.

5. Third-party data sharing

The Service Provider does not sell your data.

Your name and your date of birth are shared with nobody, because they never leave your device.

6. Cookies and tracking technologies

The Application itself does not use cookies. It stores your profile, progress and preferences in your device's local storage, and the analytics identifier described in section 2. Advertisers reached through AdMob may use device identifiers and similar technologies to serve ads relevant to your interests, subject to the consent described in section 4.

7. Data retention

Anything you enter stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the Application. Anonymous analytics events are retained by PostHog for as long as they remain useful for statistics, under the retention settings of our project. The random analytics identifier is renewed every 13 months, so measurement cannot follow one device indefinitely. Data held by Google is retained under Google's own policies.

8. Data deletion and user controls

9. Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over your personal data, and the right to complain to your national supervisory authority.

In practice those rights bite on the advertising data described in sections 3 and 4, and you exercise them through the consent form and your device's advertising settings. They cannot be exercised over the statistics in section 2 for an honest reason: those events carry no identifier that could be traced back to you, so we are unable to find "your" data among them, and the law does not require us to collect more information about you merely in order to be able to identify you.

10. Children's privacy

The Application offers general entertainment content and is not directed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what is described above — local storage on the device, with no account. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, write to lanchasdev@gmail.com and we will delete it.

11. International data transfers

Analytics data is processed within the European Union. Data handled by Google may be processed in other countries; those transfers rely on the safeguards set out in Google's privacy policy, including standard contractual clauses.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Changes take effect when the revised version is posted, with a new "Last updated" date.
