Privacy Policy
Anime Food Recipes Last updated: 8 September 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to the Anime Food Recipes mobile application (the "Application"), provided by Lanchas Dev (the "Service Provider") as a free, ad-supported service. Contact: lanchasdev@gmail.com
The Application has no accounts, no login and no registration. We never ask for your name, postal address, phone number or any government identifier, and we do not have them.
1. Information collection and use
The Application relies on three third-party services. Two of them are advertising and platform services; the third is our own product analytics.
- Google Play Services — platform services on Android.
- Google AdMob — advertising.
- PostHog — product analytics, hosted in the European Union.
We do not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, address or government ID. We do collect pseudonymous usage data about how the Application is used, described in section 2. This data is not linked to your identity and we have no way to connect it to a named person.
2. Usage analytics
Analytics in the Application works at two levels, and the difference is what is collected about your device, not who reads it.
2.1 Anonymous statistics — collected without consent
To know which screens are used and which ones need fixing, the Application records how it is navigated. This level is anonymous by design and is collected from everyone:
- No profile is created or updated.
- No IP address is stored and no location is derived from it.
- The identifier is renewed at the start of every session, so two sessions from the same device cannot be joined together — not on the device and not on our servers.
- No search text is recorded at this level, and nothing about how long ago the Application was installed.
What is recorded: application opened, screen viewed, session ended, recipe opened, added to or removed from favourites, Cooking Mode started and completed, filters applied, language changed, onboarding steps viewed and completed, review prompt shown, and — for searches — only the number of results, never the words typed.
Each of these events carries technical context only: the app version, the operating system, the device model and type, the language, and a marker saying whether the event came from a released build or from our own internal testing.
This level cannot be switched off separately, because there is nothing in it that identifies you or your device beyond the session you are in. If you would rather it were not collected at all, uninstalling the Application stops it.
2.2 Identified analytics and advertising — only with your consent
If you consent (see section 4), two things change. Advertising events are recorded — an ad was requested, shown, failed or skipped, and how much an impression earned — and the analytics above stop being anonymous:
- Searches performed — the search text is recorded in lower case and truncated to 50 characters, together with the number of results. This is the only free-text content the Application records. Please do not type personal information into the search field.
- An approximate location derived from your IP address.
- How long ago the Application was installed on your device.
Identifier. At this level, events are grouped under a random identifier generated on your device the first time you open the Application, and it stops being renewed every session. It is not an account, it does not travel between apps, and it is erased when you clear the app's data or uninstall the Application.
Profile. A pseudonymous profile is kept against that random identifier so we can answer questions about groups of users over time — for example, whether people who first opened the Application in Turkish keep using it a month later. The profile holds only the app language you use now and the one you started with. It contains no name, email address or any other detail that could identify you, and we have no way to connect it to a person. Clearing the app's data or uninstalling the Application ends it.
Where it goes. Analytics data is sent to PostHog on servers located in the European Union.
When it is sent. The anonymous statistics of section 2.1 are sent as you use the Application. Everything in section 2.2 — the search text, the approximate location, the profile and all advertising events — is sent only after you have given consent, and is discarded if you decline.
3. Advertising identifiers
The Application shows advertising supplied by Google AdMob. Handling differs by platform, and the difference is real:
- Android. The Application uses the Google Advertising ID. It is processed by AdMob to serve personalised or non-personalised advertising, to measure ad performance and to prevent fraud. You can reset or delete it at any time from Settings → Google → Ads.
- iOS. The Application asks for App Tracking Transparency permission the first time it runs. The choice is yours and it is a real one:
- If you allow it, the Application may access your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), and AdMob may use it — together with data from other apps and websites — to show you personalised advertising and to measure it. In Apple's terms, this is tracking.
- If you decline, the IDFA is not accessed, no tracking takes place, and the advertising you see is non-personalised. The Application works exactly the same.
You can change your answer at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, and review the system-wide controls in Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising.
4. Consent
On iOS you will see two separate prompts the first time you open the Application, and they ask different things: Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt decides whether the advertising identifier may be used (see section 3), and the consent form below decides everything else. Declining one does not answer the other.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the Application shows a consent form, provided through Google's User Messaging Platform.
- Personalised advertising and identified analytics are only enabled if you consent. Until you answer, nothing from section 2.2 leaves your device.
- If you decline, the profile, the search text, the approximate location and the advertising events are not sent, and any advertising shown is non-personalised.
- The anonymous statistics of section 2.1 are not covered by this choice and continue to be collected. They contain nothing that identifies you or that links one session of yours to another.
- Your choice is stored on your device.
You can change your answer at any time from Profile → Ad privacy options inside the Application. Turning consent off there stops the identified analytics immediately and switches advertising to non-personalised.
5. Third-party data sharing
The Service Provider shares only limited technical data — device and advertising identifiers, and the usage events listed in section 2 — with the three providers named in section 1. We do not sell data, and we do not share it with anyone else.
6. Cookies and tracking technologies
Our advertising partner may use SDKs, cookies or similar mobile technologies to deliver relevant content and evaluate the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
7. Data retention
- Advertising and platform data collected by Google's SDKs is retained under their own privacy policies, typically between 30 days and 14 months.
- Analytics data held in PostHog is retained for 12 months from collection and then deleted.
- Support emails. If you write to us, your message and address are kept for at most 6 months, unless a legal obligation requires longer.
- No permanent database. We do not maintain user accounts or cloud profiles for this Application.
8. Data deletion and user controls
- Clear all local data — Android: Settings → Apps → Anime Food Recipes → Storage → Clear data. This also erases the analytics identifier and your consent choice.
- Clear all local data — iOS: delete the Application from the Home Screen or from Settings → General → iPhone Storage, then reinstall it.
- Advertising profile — Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID.
- Advertising profile — iOS: Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → turn off Personalised Ads.
- Uninstalling the Application stops all future collection.
- By request: for anything related to support correspondence, write to lanchasdev@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Your rights
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw your consent at any time.
Please note an honest limitation: the data described in section 2 is pseudonymous — and the anonymous statistics of section 2.1 are not tied to any lasting identifier at all — so we hold nothing that lets us find your records among everyone else's. In practice, the effective way to erase it is to clear the Application's data as described in section 8, and to withdraw consent as described in section 4. For anything we can act on, write to lanchasdev@gmail.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. In Spain, that is the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es).
10. Children's privacy
The Application is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If a parent or guardian believes a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, write to lanchasdev@gmail.com and we will delete it.
11. International data transfers
Analytics data is processed within the European Union. Data handled by Google may be processed in other countries; those transfers rely on the safeguards set out in Google's privacy policy, including standard contractual clauses.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Changes take effect when the revised version is posted, with a new "Last updated" date.
